22 MB students accepted to All-State ensembles
MB is happy to celebrate some stellar results in this year’s Rhode Island All-State Music Festival auditions. In November, 26 MB students auditioned for the Rhode Island Music Education Association’s Senior and Junior All-State Music Festival Band, Orchestra, Chorus, Jazz and Guitar Ensembles. The school recently learned of an impressive 22 acceptances, including 3 students placing 1st in the state (junior Dylan B., bass; eighth grader Kazuya B., trumpet; and freshman Rachel W., clarinet, who received a perfect score). A total 12 MB students placed in the top 10 and one was even accepted into two different ensembles. All students who auditioned worked very hard to prepare for their audition.
