Lower School
From the moment you step inside, Moses Brown's lower school challenges children's assumptions and encourage to think and play in new ways. A tree inside? A sandbox? Neato.
There are reading lofts, nooks and crannies filled with blocks and toys, an elevated indoor play structure with furniture, dolls, costumes, and more. Whether your child is into pretend play, building, or just settling down in a cozy corner with book, lower school has just the right spot.
In addition to classrooms for nursery through fifth grade, lower school has a dedicated music room, and in Middle House, a lower-school-specific library and science lab. There are two playground for children of all ages, and direct access to Campanella Field and the outdoor track for those times when kids need to get the wiggles out before the next learning unit.
Lower schoolers also regularly use all-school facilities like the Y-Lab, the Field House, Three Oaks Studio for art and woodshop, and the Woodman Center.
