Waughtel-Howe Field House

The Waughtel-Howe Field House is home to Moses Brown's many championship-winning teams and hosts lower- and middle-school Physical Education activities all year long. Featuring multi-use courts, a four-lane track, strength training, and medical facilities, the Field House is well-equipped to help student-athletes cultivate their best efforts, and provides a fun place for exercise and play. 

Its updated courts feature a new Herculan flooring system that provides benefits such as increased shock absorption, slip resistance, and responsive ball rebound. The flooring’s high-performing pad and polyurethane surface helps improve safety, mitigate injury potential, and enable athletes to maximize their performance. In March 2025, its indoor track will also be resurfaced with a Herculan flooring system and a thicker pad for shock absorption. The top layer will be finished off with rubber granules to allow for superb traction for our students to fully utilize the banked track, a feature that continues to make Waughtel-Howe Field House one of the most unique facilities in the North East.
