9th graders build friendships, bonds, and boats during orientation trip

Over the weekend of August 24-25, new 9th Grade students spent two days in South China, Maine at Friends Camp for their orientation experience. They were joined by a group of senior peer leaders and faculty. This trip makes for an important opportunity to build friendships and develop important bonds that they will continue to grow throughout their high school years. There are many structured activities, such as the group building project seen here, but also unstructured time for reflection and of course lots of fun.

Friends Camp is a camp built around Quaker values which are woven into the structure of the camp. It is also a beautiful location situated right near China Lake!
