Moses Brown School Partners with Gilson Snow to Launch Exclusive Student and Alumni–Designed Snowboard & Ski Collection

Moses Brown School and Gilson Snow are proud to announce the official launch of a limited-edition series of student and alumni-designed skis and snowboards, now available for the holiday season. This unique collaboration, made possible by MB alumnus and Gilson Snow co-founder & CEO Nick Gilson ‘07, features eight distinct designs with a 10% royalty to each artist and proceeds to be donated to the The Moses Brown Fund, MB’s Annual Fund.

The collection marks the culmination of a multi-year partnership between Moses Brown and Gilson Snow based in Selinsgrove, PA. The collaboration began in the Economics of Social Innovation (ESI) course, taught by Dr. Gara Field, where upper school students explore the intersection of entrepreneurship, creative productivity, and social impact by working closely with socially-minded enterprises to solve authentic problems. Nick Gilson ’07 became an engaged and inspiring mentor who enabled MB to extend the Gilson Snow partnership to MB Immersion when senior Addisyn Prescott ’24 led a Snowboard Design immersive alongside Gara and Nick. Several designs in the Moses Brown x Gilson Snow Collection originated in the spring of 2024 during MB Immersion, including those by Liam C. ’26, Jasper Miller-Mattis ’25, Nicholas d’Entremont ’25, and Addisyn Prescott ’24. While boards created Marybeth Fitzsimmons ’20, Aidan Spencer ’24, Seamus H. ’26, Jack L. ’26, and Nicolas D. ’27 were part of the ESI social innovation challenges in 2025 and 2026.

Innovation Meets Artistry

Current ESI student and Moses Brown senior Liam Cromie, who holds the distinction of being the youngest board designer for Gilson Snow, was the first MB student to launch a board with the Pennsylvania company. Cromie’s journey began as an immersive learning experience his sophomore year when his hand-drawn design went from conception to reality as a retail product, which serves as the cornerstone of this unique and powerful partnership - one that has since expanded to include contributions from MB students and young alumni.

This partnership is about more than just bringing products from concept to market; it’s about providing MB students with a real-world platform to see their designs come to life while giving back to our community.

“We are so grateful for the opportunity to work with Nick and his team at Gilson Snow to make the Moses Brown Collection come to life,” shared ESI class students Adriana E. ’26 and Samantha M. ’27. “It was truly incredible to work alongside the MB external affairs team to make this possible. We learned about communication, collaboration, and deadlines. Launching this line of Gilson Snow skis and snowboards designed by our friends, classmates, and MB alum was epic. We are excited to apply all that we’ve learned … now and in the future.”

Another student, Teddy D. ’27, added “this didn’t feel like a high school project. Having to think on the fly with a hard deadline, communicating with many different people, and gathering deliverables was completely new, and this real experience is difficult to replicate.“

Giving Back with Every Ride

Each purchase from the MB Snowboard & Ski Collection serves a dual purpose:

  • Direct Support: A 10% royalty from each sale goes directly to the student or alumni artist who created the design.
  • Community Impact: A portion of the proceeds is donated to the Moses Brown Fund, which supports the school’s mission, faculty, and student scholarships.
