How Community and Connection Fueled Lauren Bousquet’s Historic MB Run

In a recent Providence Journal feature, Moses Brown senior and basketball standout Lauren Bousquet is celebrated as a "special talent" nearing the end of a fantastic four-year career. Reporter Eric Rueb noted that Lauren’s success stems from a powerhouse combination: natural talent, an unmatched work ethic, and a rock-solid support system. 🏀

While many elite athletes opt for the traditional prep school circuit, Lauren chose to attend MB, where she has built a lasting legacy as one of the program's greatest players. But for Lauren, success on the court is only half the story.

"The friendships and the community I've built, especially at Moses Brown, have been great," Lauren told Projo. "All of my friends were athletic, so we were able to push each other. It's been amazing to see my friends achieve their goals as well."

That community support fueled a legendary run: Lauren led the Quakers to a state title and joined the elite 2,000-point scorers club earlier this season. Her journey continues next year at the Division I level, where she’ll suit up for Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York.
