Kindergarten Learns About Democracy, Voting, and Letters

This winter, Kindergarten embarked on an exciting social studies unit focused on voting and the Suffragette movement. They explored the principles of fair voting, elections, and the essential concepts of fairness and equality, all while learning about the significance of democracy. To wrap up the unit, Kindergarten students had the chance to exercise their right to vote by selecting their next letter project for "Pp" week. The options? A penguin, a princess, a pigeon, or the Patriots logo! Students stepped into makeshift voting booths, cast their ballots, and watched as the votes were tallied. Afterward, they proudly wore "I Voted” stickers, celebrating their role in using their voices to make a choice.
