MB Ethics Bowlers Deliver Strong Showing at Brown

On Sunday, February 1, three outstanding teams of Moses Brown Ethics Bowlers competed in the 10th Annual RI High School Ethics Bowl at Brown University’s Smith-Buonanno Hall.

Our Quakers delivered a strong and memorable performance. While they swept their opponents in the third round, they narrowly missed advancing to the semifinals on total points. Although their "final four" dreams were cut short this year, the students represented MB with distinction.

Moses Brown remains a regional powerhouse in the Ethics Bowl. The school’s storied history includes one New England championship, three RI state championships, six runner-up finishes, and a remarkable fourth-place finish at Nationals just a few years ago.

The 2025–2026 Teams:

  • MB Quakers 1: Sophie H. '26, Jaedyn F.-H. '26, Cady P. '27, Annecy G. '28, Lindsey D. '28
  • Team 2: Ava P. '27, Teddy D. '27, Edie L. '27, Esra E. '28, Greta H. '28, Sarah B. '28
  • Team 3: AJ B. '27, Charlie L. '27, Aliya S. '27, Emma W. '27, Risheth R. '28

The team is coached by Gara Field and assisted by MB alumnus Jack Tripp ‘19. Now a first-year MB English teacher, Jack famously led Moses Brown to its very first Ethics Bowl championship during his own time as a student.
