MB Musicians Make a Big Sound at All New England Band Festival

Thirteen MB student musicians took part in this year’s All New England Band Festival, an annual event that brings together students from across the region. This year, the festival took place on Monday, November 25 at Plymouth State University in New Hampshire. (top right photo features seniors Kaz and Jace with Mr. T)

Students at the festival:
Maks B. ‘26 – String Bass; Kazuya B. ‘25 – Trumpet; Maverick B. ‘26 – Clarinet/Alto Clarinet; Vindhya D. ‘26 – Trumpet; Jace G. ‘25 – Clarinet; David I. – Trumpet; Lucy K. ‘27 – Tympani/Percussion; Nithya G. ‘26 – Flute/Piccolo; Theja G. ‘27 – Oboe; Ava P. ‘27 – Mallets; Abby S. ‘27 – Clarinet; Christian S. ‘26 – Clarinet; Lux W. ‘26 – Alto Saxophone

Our students put in a long rehearsal day but it paid off in what was an “absolutely beautiful performance”, enthused band teacher Steve Toro (aka Mr. T). “I received many compliments about our kids, specifically from the two conductors of the bands… I was extremely proud of them.”

A particular honor was bestowed upon Christian S., who was chosen to tune the band at rehearsals and at the concert.

Special thanks to band parent Arty Goldstein for help with festival logistics and also event photography!
