MB Varsity Soccer Teams Win Academic Awards

Congratulations to the Moses Brown varsity boys' and girls' soccer teams! Both teams were recently honored by the United Soccer Coaches organization with the High School Team Academic Award for their outstanding performance in the classroom during the 2024-25 season.

The award recognizes high school soccer teams that achieve a combined grade point average (GPA) of 3.25 or higher. This year, 302 teams nationwide met this standard, and only 35 schools had both their boys' and girls' teams recognized. The MB teams' GPAs were well above the requirement, with the boys' team earning a 3.74 and the girls' team a 3.73. The team GPA is calculated by averaging the GPAs of all the players on the team.

Boys’ team coach Eric Aaronian thanked Athletic Director AJ Kizekai "for supporting our membership in USC, which allows our soccer teams and players to be recognized for their efforts and talents on and off the field."

Girls’ coach Gara Field shared that "it's an honor for our team of intelligent, disciplined, and hard-working scholar-athletes to receive this national recognition on behalf of the United Soccer Coaches for the third time. It's especially impressive that both Moses Brown's varsity soccer programs are held in such high academic esteem – these kids are the head, the heart, and the best of Quaker Nation!"
