Moses Brown School is proud to celebrate senior Josselyn Wolf, who has been officially named a winner in the prestigious National Merit Scholarship Program. Selected for her exceptional academic prowess and leadership, Josselyn will receive a $2,500 scholarship to support her future studies.

Josselyn emerged from an elite group of 15,000 Finalists nationwide. 

"I am honored to receive this recognition, particularly in a selection pool where women have been historically underrepresented," Josselyn said of the award. "I look forward to my next chapter of intellectual discovery — with curiosity, creativity, and hope for revolutionary change as my driving inspirations."

To earn the title of Merit Scholar, candidates are evaluated by a committee of college admissions officers and high school counselors who review a comprehensive portfolio of achievements, including:

Academic Rigor: Performance in challenging coursework and overall GPA.

Standardized Testing: Exceptional scores on the PSAT/NMSQT.

Leadership & Service: Meaningful contributions to both the school and the local community.

Personal Voice: The quality of the Finalist’s essay and a formal recommendation from school leadership.

Designees are chosen based on their potential to excel in high-level university environments. The selection process ensures that winners represent the most promising students across the country, with awards distributed proportionally by state.
