Visit Moses Brown School

Parent/Guardian Conversation and Tour: Parent/guardian meets with Jeff, Lower School Admission Director, to learn about how Moses Brown School partners with families to support the overall growth and development of our youngest learners and providesthe groundwork for continued success throughout a child’s time at Moses Brown.  The parent/guardian meeting typically occurs without children, prior to the Student Visit and includes a full campus tour.  Approximately 120 minutes.

Student Visit:  Applicants to Nursery, Pre-Primary, and Kindergarten will sign up for one of four Early Childhood visit mornings, in a time slot specific to the grade to which you are applying.  For approximately 30 minutes during the visit, in small groups, children will spend time in a classroom (without parents) with members of our Early Childhood and Admission team.  
 

Parent/Guardian Conversation and Tour: Parent/guardian meets with Jeff, Lower School Admission Director, to learn about how Moses Brown School partners with families to support the personal, social and academic growth of each child and provides individual support and encouragement to promote a lifelong love of learning and school. The parent/guardian meeting typically occurs without children, prior to the Student Visit and includes a full campus tour.

Student Visit: Students applying to 1st through 4th grade spend a full day visiting in their current grade level. During the visit, children will experience all aspects of a day in their grade, get to know their potential peers, and get a feel for the style of teaching, learning, and play at Moses Brown. There is no standardized testing or pull out one-on-one assessment during the Student Visit.
 

Individual visits last until 1:10 PM for students (approximately 1 hour for parents) and include:

Student & Parent Interview: A conversation with the Middle School Admission Director. It's a chance for the school to learn about your child's interests and personality and for you to ask questions.

Classroom Shadow Experience (For Your Child): Your child is paired with a current MB student host and attends actual classes until 1:10 PM. This helps them see what a typical day feels like and meet potential classmates.

Campus Tour (Optional): Explore MB’s beautiful 33-acre campus.

Individual visits last approximately 90 minutes and include:

Student-Led Campus Tour:  Explore campus alongside a current Upper School student guide whenever class schedules permit. Tours last approximately 30 minutes.

Individual Student & Parent/Guardian Meetings: Prospective students and parents/guardians will meet individually with the Director of Upper School Admission or a member of the Admission team. These offer a chance for us to get to know families and offer a space to have your questions answered. Meetings last approximately 30 minutes each.
