Moses Brown Theatre Pilots New “Pay as Led” Ticketing
Moses Brown Theatre is a co-curricular program open to all students from grades 3 through 12. Producing educational theater of the quality seen at MB requires investment - of energy, expertise, equipment, passion, and funds. Ticket revenue is an essential part of how we offset the costs of our remarkable program. As part of our commitment to Values in Action this year, we are trying a new experiment with what Quakers call "Pay-as Led" funding, in which each person contributes according to their own discernment. This model increases opportunities for access and equity within and beyond MB, as well as offers pathways for generous support for those who are moved to provide it. Tickets are now priced at three different levels, allowing for a model that prioritizes accessibility as well as stewardship.
Woodman Center
The theatrical facilities of the Woodman Family Community and Performing Arts Center are state-of-the-art, with a a 500-seat theater, dedicated scene and costume shops, green room, makeup suite, professional-grade sound and lighting.
Empathy is a guiding value in the theater program. We believe that art can help make change.
