Fields and Facilities

Campanella Field

Resurfaced with FieldTurf artificial turf in 2007, Campanella Field is home to Moses Brown's football, lacrosse, and field hockey teams. With a quarter-mile track, long-jump pit, and high-jump area, it's also an ideal training ground for track-and-field athletes.

Sitting adjacent to lower school, Campanella Field also gets a lot of use during the day from little learners burning off extra energy during recess, or simply taking a quick lap to recharge their brains between learning units.

Fitness Center
The Taleghani Family Community Fitness Center is a 3,300 square foot, state-of-the-art facility that provides a wide range of fitness and strength training equipment for everyone across all ages and activity levels. From free weights, to spin bikes, to ropes, to treadmills, to rowing machines, to sled pulls, and plenty of open space for stretching and floor work, this space has something to offer to the entire MB community. It is broadly used, from physical education classes to competitive student-athletes and anyone who wants to improve their health and fitness.

Playgrounds

Learning should be fun, and sometimes you just need some fun to be fun. Research conclusively shows that exercise boots executive function and cognitive abilities, which is why Moses Brown students are physically active multiple times throughout the day.

And while structured P.E. Classes are great, kids need plenty of time to be kids, to play and discover and relax and try things out for themselves. At Moses Brown there are two playgrounds, one tailored for children ages 3-8, and one for 7-year-olds and up.

Situated near each other, these playgrounds work in concert as children grow and explore. With a patio between them, parents and teachers can easily keep an eye on children of different ages, and have snacks handy when they work up an appetite.

Baseball Diamond

The McCullough Baseball Diamond was completely renovated in 2016, including new infield, outfield, backstop, dugout areas, and scoreboard.

With one Division 3 championship, Moses Brown's baseball teams have generated great results, and a few professional players, including Robb Rinn who plays in the Kansas City organization, and countless lifelong friendships.

Softball Diamond

The Moran Softball Diamond runs along Lloyd avenue, with ample seating on bleachers and a grassy hill.

Moses Brown softball won DI championships in 2018 and 2017, and DII championships in 2015, 2013, 2009, and 2008 (including state championships 2018, 2009, 2008).

Wasserman Field

The Wasserman Soccer Field is situated just behind Middle House, and in addition to being one of the main playing areas for boys' and girls' varsity teams, it also hosts junior varsity and middle school teams, and P.E. classes during the day.

Moses Brown's team have won an impressive eight state championships over the years, and in the past three years, the boy's team has won the championship and sportsmanship award, testifying not only to the excellence of their play, but to the quality of their character.

Tennis Courts

Moses Brown has six newly-renovated outdoor tennis courts that feature an updated playing surface, all-new netting, and comfortable, convenient spectator seating with parking nearby.

The Cooper Tennis Courts are home to MB's boys' and girls' varsity and junior varsity teams in the Rhode Island Interscholastic League and NEPSAC, as well as a middle school development team that competes against local middle school teams.

These courts are open to members of the Moses Brown community, and it's common to find students, faculty, and parents playing during the early evening.

Mann Field

Situated at the corner of Hope Street and Lloyd Avenue, Mann Field has been hosting practices and games almost as long as Moses Brown has existed. A fun and flexible space, it hosts varsity athletes, middle school introductory teams, and lower school play throughout the academic year.

In the summer, Mann Field is home to summer camps for soccer, lacrosse, and more, and frequently serves as a social gathering space for MB's annual bonfire as part of EXPO weekend, in which the entire Moses Brown community comes together for a celebration of learning, community, and performance.

Rehoboth Fields

Moses Brown's Milot Fields in nearby Rehoboth, Massachusetts provide 13 acres of playing spaces for soccer, lacrosse, field hockey, and more. Regularly used by middle and upper school athletes, these facilities allow students of all levels of interest and achievement to get regular, convenient playing time.
