WGBH Video: Chick Corea & Steve Gadd

If you missed this exciting event, you can still watch the video on WGBH’s Facebook page!

Chick Corea and Steve Gadd may be the most influential pianist and drummer on the planet.  Between Corea’s tenure as Miles Davis’s pianist, his groundbreaking, genre-defining work with Return to Forever, and the decades of dynamic collaborations since, he is truly one of the titans of modern music, as evidenced by his 22 GRAMMY awards.  In addition to his renowned solo career, Modern Drummer hall-of-famer Steve Gadd is perhaps the most revered studio drummer of all time, having laid down the iconic beats behind artists ranging from Paul Simon to Steely Dan to Eric Clapton, and so many, many more.

Thanks to a new partnership with FirstWorks, before their concert at Veterans Memorial Auditorium on October 15 at 7pm, Chick and Steve will come to Moses Brown for a conversation moderated by Eric Jackson and live-streamed by WGBH.  They’ll discuss the creative process and how they learn a piece of music, both individually and together.  They’ll talk some, play some, and take questions from the audience.
