Discernment Dialogues

Watch a video message from Katie!

We need your voice

This fall, we will gather again as a community to reflect on the themes and queries that emerged from the spring’s community conversations and tackle one big question: What is our vision for Moses Brown in 2034? We encourage alumni, parents, guardians, upper school students, faculty, staff, grandparents, and Friends to have their voices be heard as we develop MB’s next strategic plan.

Wait… What’s a Discernment Dialogue?

Following a presentation by Head of School, Katie Titus, participants will engage in small group work, facilitated by an MB upper school student leader, to discuss their vision for MB’s future.

Why should I participate?

…my child will graduate long before 2034?
Achieving a vision is always a journey and ours will include near-, medium-, and long-term goals that will start to impact students this school year. And, sharing your perspective on the MB experience today is essential to understanding ways we need to grow and evolve.

...as a Lower School parent?
You and your family will be directly impacted by both the near- and long term goals that will be developed as part of this process. And, like our Middle and Upper School parents, sharing your perspective on the MB experience is essential to understanding ways we need to grow and evolve.

…as an Upper School student?
Students are the center and your voices, representing the everyday, lived mission of MB, are essential to grounding our visioning work.

 … as a faculty/staff member?
Faculty and staff bring essential professional expertise and personal passion for curriculum, student life and school management that are imperative to charting our course for the future.

…I graduated years ago?
The educational experience of alumni is the glue that binds the school’s culture and values across generations. You have unique perspectives on the bedrock elements of MB that should never change, as well as the life experience that helps ensure we adapt to meet the needs of this rising generation.
