Moses Brown condemns all forms of antisemitism and Islamophobia

Over the past several weeks, the U.S. has witnessed an alarming surge in antisemitism, including assaults, vandalism and hate speech.  Anti-Muslim attacks have also been reported. As a Friends school, Moses Brown condemns all forms of antisemitism and Islamophobia. We deplore and denounce hate speech, violence and other kinds of bigotry that deny the fundamental humanity of others. We support Jewish and Muslim people in their right to peace, safety and religious freedom. And we want all members of this community, and especially those who are feeling threatened by recent events, to know that hate speech and attacks based on identity have no home at Moses Brown.

Having just today published a new action plan for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, we wish to take this opportunity to affirm our core values: a belief in the inherent dignity of all people; a commitment to cross-cultural understanding, empathy and justice; and rejection of all forms of violence, discrimination and oppression.
