MS Latin Explores Roman Roads

Who knew Roman roads could be so delicious! In Alexa MacMullen’s Middle School Latin 1a class, the most recent chapter in their textbook explored Roman roads. Students read articles about the importance and innovation of Roman roads, and then watched a video in Latin about the construction process of roads. Then they got to the fun part: constructing their own roads in clear, plastic cups using edible materials that mimicked the effect of all the layers that created a sturdy Roman road.
