Parking during the school year
Traffic around Moses Brown is busy and both drivers and pedestrians should be cautious. There are crossing guards at the front gate on Lloyd Avenue, and at the corner of Olney and Morris.
Between 7:45 and 8:30, the Lower School lot may be used by parents of Nursery and Pre-Primary students only. The lot is open to all lower school parents in the afternoon.
Otherwise, parking spaces in campus lots are assigned and unavailable until after 3:00 pm.
The cobblestone area in front of Friends Hall maybe be used for upper and lower school student drop-off and pick-up. The Cobblestone area in front of the Gifford Building is for parents of middle school students.
For the safety of all, it is imperative that cars are never parked or left unattended in a fire lane on campus.
At the rear of the school, students may enter through Carpenter Gate at the intersection of Alumni and Morris avenues. There is a crossing guard at Olney and Morris to assist pedestrians, as well as a security guard on Alumni near the gate.
Keep in mind: Morris Avenue is one-way between Alumni Avenue and Olney Street during drop-up and pick-up times.
Some upper school students do drive to school. They must fill out a Parking Information form which must be given to the upper school office. Please discuss how you would like him or her to handle parking near campus (and practice parallel parking!).
