Science Olympiad Team Takes Home Three Gold Medals

Congratulations to the Moses Brown team who competed in the Rhode Island Science Olympiad at Rhode Island College on April 22 against 18 different RI schools in 18 different events. Over eight hours of competition, the group of 13 students had their knowledge tested in science, lab technique, problem-solving, and engineering.

Students took home top medals in four individual events:

Gold (1st) in Bridge (Nithya G. ’26 & Rachel W. ’24)
Gold (1st) in Scrambler (Reese M. ’24 & Rachel W. ’24)
Bronze (3rd) in Anatomy & Physiology (Novia J. ’24 & Willa S. ’26)
Bronze (3rd) in Forensics (Anna C. ’24 & Amelia R. ’26)

Junior Mason W. finished the day strong for the team by securing a gold medal in the Science Bowl competition.

The team also picked up 5th place finishes in the following:

The competition represented an inspired and collaborative effort by all of the students, particularly team captains Rachel W., Novia J., and Anna C. who organized MB’s team.
