12th Grade

Science

At Moses Brown, seniors have a firm grasp of scientific fundamentals, and many are beginning to distinguish themselves as creative and independent thinkers. Whether choosing an AP course and/or one of our many science electives, students can complete a firm foundation in the natural sciences or use coursework at MB as a springboard to deeper study in college and beyond.

A wide range of AP offerings engages students in college-level study, and exciting electives let them develop their own arcs of inquiry with guidance from our expert faculty.

Meteorology and Astronomy challenge students to use what they know about chemistry and physics to explain observable phenomena in the sky and cosmos; Marine Biology connects students with the unique resources of Narragansett Bay; and Genetics, Organic Chemistry and Anatomy give students with a passion for life sciences (particularly medicine) a head start on their college studies. And Ornithology gets students into the field to connect with their inner naturalist.
