8th Grade

Eighth graders regularly use the newly-renovated Walter Jones library.  With extensive databases, citation tools, print, digital, and audio volumes, and a knowledgable and helpful library staff, students learn to find, filter, and employ the most useful and relevant materials in their own scholarship.

There are spaces for homework and quiet study, collaboration suites with whiteboards and markers, and thousands of books that students can check out for research projects and reading for pleasure.

Through all of it, the library is the cornerstone of students’ growing media literacy in a connected world, and a place where they can regularly practice the independent scholarship that will be the mainstay of their upper school experience.
