Pre-Primary

TRIPs

For Pre-primary students, Moses Brown’s 33-acre campus in the heart of Providence is a neighborhood unto itself.  Children get to explore the lower school, the Waughtel-Howe Field House, the sunlit and airy Walter Jones Library, forested groves, vegetable gardens, and occasionally…upper school!

With these on-campus ‘field trips’ as a way of getting comfortable traveling with the class, we also take students off-campus to places like:

-Roger Williams Park Zoo
-the Providence Children’s Museum
-the Biomes marine education center
-a working farm

As part of these trips, we teach children about planning, safety, and how to safely enjoy a visit to an unfamiliar place.  These trips are always a highlight of the year.
