Third Grade Presents National Parks Research

Throughout the spring semester, third graders worked in partnerships to research U.S. National Parks in depth. Through cross-curricular work, they created informative slideshows and posters, made art pieces of flora and fauna native to their park, created dioramas of famous park features, created public service posters to educate park visitors about a problem and encourage action, and took nature photography on campus. This work culminated in a lively National Parks fair, where visitors came to take a virtual tour across the U.S. from Maine to Hawaii and everywhere in between to learn about this important government system.
